Jobdeck comes in two halves that share one login and one set of data: the phone app your crew use on site, and the web dashboard where the office runs the business. This page is the first four minutes.
- Sign in. Use the same email and password on the phone app and the web dashboard. First time on the web? Create an account, then check your email for a 6-digit code to verify it. Forgot your password? Use the reset link on the sign-in screen.
- Set up your business. On first run you name your business. This is the name that prints on your quotes and invoices, and it's also the moment your 14-day free trial starts.
- Fill in Business settings. Add your ABN, licence number, logo and bank details (Settings → Trade settings and testing, and the business details on the Settings page). The ABN matters most: without it none of your invoices are valid tax invoices, and a business customer has to withhold 47% of what they pay you and send it to the ATO instead. Jobdeck checks each invoice as you raise it and flags anything the ATO needs that's missing, like the customer's name or ABN on a sale of $1,000 or more.
- Add your crew. Invite workers from Team → Team roster. One subscription covers your whole team, on both the phone app and the dashboard.
The Today screen walks new accounts through the rest. A "Getting set up" checklist tracks how much of onboarding is done (add your ABN, invite your first crew member, raise your first quote), and a one-click "Try it with sample data" button fills your account with fictional customers, jobs, quotes and invoices so you can see every screen with real-looking content before you touch your own data. Remove it any time from the same card.
Once you're signed in, the two things worth reading next are Finding your way around (the drawer, the nav rail, search, and who on your team sees what) and the core workflow — the one path almost everything in Jobdeck hangs off.
